Earth Day Event - Volunteers

Are you interested in attending an Earth Day event in Edmonton on April 22nd to learn about 150 ways schools are showing climate leadership?

ACEE is hosting the event and seeking up to 10 volunteers to help make this event a success. Over 20 schools will be displaying their climate leadership initiatives and a variety of guests will be interacting with the students, followed by presentations from the Hon. David Eggen, Minister of Education, ACEE, Alberta Climate Leadership Youth Network students and others.

Date: Saturday, April 22nd

Time: 7:30am to 1:00pm - times vary depending on roles

Location: MacEwan University - Robbins Health Learning Centre

Possible roles:

  • registration table
  • setting up the 150 ways schools show climate leadership celebration tree
  • helping the 20+ schools set up their displays
  • setting up signage
  • podium, stage, presentations and presenters - ensure everything is working and presenters are ready and have tested mic and materials
  • photography/video recording - capturing the magic of the day
