Calgary Workshop November 1 2018

Helping Deliver Impactful Environment, Energy and Climate Change Education - November 1, 2018 - Calgary - Bow Habitat Station

A big thanks to those that were able to attend. We explored best practices to help us deliver programs that enact the change we are all seeking. We touched on barriers, and as a regional and provincial network how can we help ‘move the needle’ to better enable environmental and energy education in Alberta.

In this workshop, we…

  • Received tools to help deliver impactful environmental, energy education and climate change education.
  • Networked to share and learn from each other to increase effectiveness and collaboration.
  • Identified barriers that currently stand in the way of delivering environment and energy education and help identify a common agenda that removes barriers and advances environmental and energy education.

Resources from the workshop:

“Schools should prepare us for the future, not the past. The future of the world will be built on sustainability. If we learn what sustainable technologies are available when we are in school, we will be able to help shape the future of global sustainability when we graduate.”
