Hi , Today, we highlight the Teaching the 4 Elements guidebook by Shelagh Pyper from Fuse Consulting. As Shelagh says, "Children lead with their hands, not their minds. In order for them to develop a relationship with the natural elements of Wind, Water, Earth and Fire (i.e. a connection to Nature) they need to explore the magic and wonder of these things with all their senses." This guidebook was developed with teachers in mind, but most activities can be adapted for families to do at home! We recommend you start with the activities on the following pages as they require the least amount of equipment: -wind activities on page 6 and 8 -water activities on page 12 -earth activities on page 17 If you have access to a firepit, fire activities begin on page 20. We are excited to connect you to the four elements through nature play - get ready to feel the breeze on your face, play with water and get your hands dirty. Grab your little ones and have some fun outside! Please share this with any parents that you think may find this useful.
