Taking place virtually on Nov. 7 and 8, the Alberta Youth Leaders for Environmental and Energy Education (AYLEEE) Summit is a great opportunity for youth grades 7-12 to connect, develop leadership and advocacy skills, and collaborate with youth across the province. ACEE is looking for a part-time communications specialist to assist with its Calgary EcoSchools initiative and other programs supporting teachers in integrating more environmental education into their teaching practice. Deadline for applications is Nov. 18.

The King's Centre for Visualization in Science is supporting an Edmonton cohort for Youth Have Power, an initiative inviting Edmonton Grade 7 and Grade 10 classes of all disciplines to explore their leadership potential in climate action. Click below to learn more.

Through outdoor activities, experiments, and conversation, students in Grades 4-6 will apply concepts from the Alberta science curriculum to the ecosystem around them. In responce to COVID-19 guidelines, the field portion of the program takes place at a walking distance from the school.
