Amy Thompson is our new Environmental Education & Engagement Coordinator for Southern Alberta. She has over a decade of experience as an informal educator. Coming from the world of cultural institutions and museums, Amy is vastly experienced in bringing an interdisciplinary approach to everything she does. She recognizes the importance of social justice, equity, and diversity in the future of education, and held this as her focus throughout her graduate studies (MEd, Interdisciplinary) in addition to her undergraduate education (BA, Archaeology, BSc. Anthropology). Amy enjoys creative pursuits, including nature journaling, embroidery, and exploring the natural world. With a passion for community engagement and high-quality education, Amy is thrilled to be part of the ACEE team. |
