Roots 2 STEM provides field trip programs on power systems and electronics in their one-of-a-kind, high-tech, 4000 sq. ft. lab. Roots 2 Stem can also come to your classroom

Teacher's Pet provides in-school field trips covering environmental topics, including: renewable energy, building birdhouses, wetlands, plants, waste, natural resources, and animal life cycles & conservation. 

The Calgary Farmyard (previously Calgary Corn Maze) provides field trips programs on gardening and farm animals. Field trips take place in the Spring (June) and Fall (September & October).

Granary Road provides active learning field trips for Gr, K-9, in which students can explore outdoor exhibits covering the following topics: crops, animals, bees, swamps, and bats. 

The City of Edmonton provides Waste Management Centre Tours (Gr. 4-12) and classroom programs on waste, recycling, and composting (Gr. 4-6), as well as Junior High and High school presentations upon request. 

The Earth Rangers Clubs program is made up of elementary school-age students and educators, who have committed to taking action in helping animals and the environment. We have created a free and easy to use platform for eco clubs to track their activities or for new clubs to be started.

Earth Rangers provides integrative lesson plans for all grades in science, art, math, and physical education on topics ranging from wetlands, land & animal conservation, to gardening and outdoor activities. 

The Helen Schuler Nature Centre in Lethbridge offers school programs, exhibits and nature trails to enjoy all year round. 

The City of Lethbridge developed Teaching and Learning Resources including Lesson Plans on Bottled Water, Textile Recycling, Stormwater and Grasslands.  

 

 

 

YYC’s Young Citizen Scientists program will come into your classroom, introduce your students to the fun world of Citizen Science, and teach them to make and submit observations to a citizen science platform. Learn more and apply here! 

Beauvais lake provides school programs in Lethbridge and Southern Alberta classrooms from Gr. 2-12 on a variety of topics on plants & animals, biological diversity, and water. 

Praxis Outreach Society offers science kits & resources, lesson plans, science fair support, and career exploration days for teachers and students in the Medicine Hat area.
