Fish Creek park provides programming for all Grades about land and interactions between plants and animals.

Alberta Parks Kananaskis field trips explore a variety of natural topics, including wetlands and wildlife. Kananaskis Country has also partnered with the Elbow River Watershed Partnership to deliver Freshwater Field School programs. Curricular content is based on Alberta Education's programs of studies.  

Alberta Parks Kananaskis can also come to your classroom through theatre presentations

Bow Habitat station offers programs for K-6+ students, focusing on waste and water, air, & land biodiversity through integrating science and social studies curriculum.

Wild North provides in-class programs for Gr. 3-6 on topics ranging from life cycles, wildlife conservation, wetlands, and forests as well as the EPCOR Wildlife Interactions Program for Gr.7 .Outreach Programs include the Junior Wildlife Ambassador Program

CPAWS provides in-person, virtual, and field trip programs and guided hikes through all seasons (including winter).

The Kerry Wood Nature Centre and Fort Normandeau in Red Deer offer a range of curriculum- based programs for K-12. Topics include: plants and animals, life cycles, geology, and wetlands.

With two lakes and abundant wildlife, the Kerry Wood Nature Centre is an ideal spot to experience nature with your class. 

 

 

The Alberta Institute for Wildlife Conservation offers programs that can be adjusted to all Grades.

Topics include: Adaptation, Bat Basics, Birds of Prey, Supremely Skunks, Wetlands Wildlife, Who's in Your Background?, Wildlife Rescue, World of Owls, and Virtual Tours of the hospital and rehabilitation center.
