Red Deer Workshop December 6 2018

A BIG THANKS to those that attended the Red Deer workshop on December 6th, 2018!

In this workshop, we...

  • Explored 'best practices' to help deliver impactful environmental, energy education and climate change education.
  • Networked to share and learn from each other to increase effectiveness and collaboration.
  • Identified barriers that currently stand in the way of delivering environment and energy education and help identify a common agenda that removes barriers and advances environmental and energy education.
  • Got our 'hands dirty' and created a small ivy, holiday decoration and container snap peas.

Resources from the workshop:

“Schools should prepare us for the future, not the past. The future of the world will be built on sustainability. If we learn what sustainable technologies are available when we are in school, we will be able to help shape the future of global sustainability when we graduate.”

- Quinn, student at Jasper Place high school in Edmonton
