Clothing4Climate is a project-based learning unit that empowers students to learn about where their clothing comes from and make a difference through their choices.

This resource library includes videos, podcasts, games, and activities. There are grade level recommendations and a brief description of the content of the resources. Topics include autonomous vehicles, biodiversity, carbon footprints, cities, climate change, environmental justice, food, material use, waste, personal transportation, renewable energy, residential buildings, and wastewater. 

This toolbox for climate education can be used in a variety of high school courses and university courses. The suite of resources includes assignments, discussion questions and prompts, and Ted Talk videos that pair well with the materials.

Resources for working with climate emotions includes online groups/networks, stories, gatherings, newsletters, and more!

The Alberta Youth Leaders for Environmental Education (AYLEE) Green Leaders Kit has been created by youth for youth across Alberta so that they can work toward a more sustainable future by making real change. Explore our suggestions for planning a climate related event, having climate conversations, and how you can make a meaningful difference by taking action. This kit is designed to be versatile and applicable in a variety of climate driven endeavours, so everyone is included. That's why we've curated resources to help us structure this toolkit into four of the most important parts of a climate movement: Learning & Getting Involved, Hosting an Event, Having Climate Conversations, and Taking Action.

Choose your Voice and Voices into Action are two free online resources filled with curriculum based lesson-plans for teachers based on social justice issues and environmental justice issues, including Residential Schools, Chinese Head Tax, Japanese Internment Camps, Immigration, The Roots of
Slavery, Antisemitism, Gender Equality, LGBTQ rights, Cyberbullying, and so much more.

ChangeMakers is a community/network providing learning opportunities, events, social connection, and a platform to grow your network and champion ecojustice for all. 

Climate Game Changers is an interactive resource to help guide climate learning for students, adults, and teachers. With a ‘choose your own adventure’ style of learning, and ways to take climate action. 

Bring Nature Home Toolkit for parents, students, and teachers to support outdoor and wildlife education. The tool lets you filter activities by Grade and Topic.

Forest Stewards provides information about the relationship between fires and forests, logging, and hydrological processes. 

CPAWS also has an action project map to discover what actions are being taken by students around Alberta in order to preserve the integrity of our parks and protected areas. Have you done any projects recently? Add your actions to the map!

The Canadian Centre for Policy Alternatives and the BC Teachers’ Federation have teamed up to create free classroom-ready materials that help students engage with the two great inconvenient truths of our time: climate change and rising inequality. And we don’t stop at small-scale personal choices, climate justice looks to how we can re-imagine the systems around us to make a better life for everyone.
